Accounting & legal
Client files that never leave the office.
Practices run on confidential documents — returns, workpapers, case files. Email attachments scatter copies everywhere, consumer cloud accounts make partners nervous (and some engagement letters prohibit them outright), and the office file share breaks in tax season exactly when nobody has time to fix Windows networking.
How your office runs with Oxolan
Every PC visible, nothing to configure
Install on each machine; they appear to each other automatically. No shares, no permissions matrix, no IT retainer for the small stuff.
Hand a file, not a copy trail
Drag a workpaper to a colleague's machine directly — no email copy in three mailboxes, no cloud version lingering.
Locks during review
A file being reviewed locks; two people can't save over each other's markup.
A clean confidentiality answer
Transfers are TLS 1.3-encrypted between your machines and touch no outside server — a one-sentence answer for client security questionnaires.
Your files, at wire speed
| Typical file | Size | Time on wired gigabit |
|---|---|---|
| Client workpaper set | 50–500 MB | 1–5 seconds |
| Scanned case file | 1–5 GB | 10–45 seconds |
| Year-end archive | 10–50 GB | 1.5–8 minutes |
| Full practice backup drop | 100 GB+ | ~15 minutes |
Times assume ~110 MB/s sustained on wired gigabit — Oxolan's verified range is 60–115 MB/s depending on network and disks. Try your own numbers:

- Wired gigabit LAN · ~110 MB/s3.0 minutes
- Wi-Fi 5 — good conditions · ~50 MB/s6.7 minutes
- Wi-Fi 5 — average office · ~25 MB/s13 minutes
- Cloud round-trip (100 Mbps up) · ~12 MB/s28 minutes
Time = size ÷ sustained speed. Cloud adds the receiver's download on top. Oxolan moves files directly over the LAN — the top row is the one your office cable already paid for.
One flat price for the whole office
From $149/yr for up to 5 machines — every plan is the full app. See pricing, or start the free 14-day trial on two machines today.

Does this help with confidentiality obligations?
Files move directly between office machines, encrypted with TLS 1.3, and are never stored by a third party — which is the substance of what most engagement-letter and questionnaire clauses ask. (Your compliance owner still makes the final call for your jurisdiction.)
Is it complicated to run? We have no IT staff.
Install per machine and it runs — discovery is automatic and survives Windows updates. There are no shares or permissions to administer.
What about working from home?
Oxolan is deliberately LAN-only — nothing is reachable from outside the office. Remote work continues on whatever secure channel your practice already uses.
